Uses of the Pack Components:
- Re-usable & Single-Use Epilation Forceps (2x each)
- Used for removing ingrown or misdirected eyelashes (trichiasis) that may be irritating the cornea or conjunctiva.
- Helps extract debris or foreign bodies from the eye or eyelid margin.
- Single-use forceps are ideal for cases requiring sterile, one-time use (e.g., in infection-prone patients or where the mucous membrane is pierced).
- Re-usable & Single-Use Straight Fine Forceps (2x each)
- Used for delicate procedures, such as handling fine tissues in the eye or grasping small objects like sutures.
- Assists in foreign body removal from the conjunctiva or cornea.
- Helps in minor surgical procedures or examinations requiring precise handling of materials, where mucous membranes are not breeched.
- Ultrasonic Bath
- Used for deep cleaning and decontaminating reusable instruments by removing microscopic debris and biofilms.
- Ensures thorough disinfection (following the College of Optometrists guidelines) before using instruments again on other patients.
- 2L Bottle Gigasept AF 3% Solution
- A high-level disinfectant for ophthalmic instruments.
- Used to soak reusable forceps and other instruments after cleaning to ensure they are free from bacteria, viruses, fungi, and spores.
- Measuring Cup
- Ensures accurate dilution of the Gigasept AF 3% solution for proper disinfection.
- Helps maintain the correct concentration of the cleaning solution to avoid damage to delicate ophthalmic instruments.
